This rocking fountain, known as a deer scarer or shishi odoshi combines sound and motion to create a compelling water feature. The fountain's bamboo arm rocks forward when it fills with water, then rocks back to make a gentle clacking sound. Originally used to scare deer and wild boar, the fountain now serves as a beautiful central garden feature.

Easy to install!

Designed as a single unit, the fountain is mounted on 16" long bamboo arms to fit across the edge of a pool or container. Simply put the pump in the water and enjoy. An assembly instruction sheet, along with a submersible pump is included in the package.

All fountains come complete with 120V 60Hz pump for plug in convenience.

About Our Products

The bamboo used in our fountains is a tropical species that is both plentiful and sustainable. The plant regenerates and matures every three years, so the sustainable technique of cutting only three year old bamboo culms is used. The bamboo is then treated with a non-toxic boron pressure treatment to elimate any threat of powder-post beetle infestation.
