The bottom of the basin is drilled through and plumbing is installed with the water fountain option (otherwise the standard basin is a complete vessel without a hole). This elongated basin is carved to resemble the jujube fruit, also known as the Chinese Date. The Japanese name for this is Natsume thereby adding an element to your garden that travels beyond the obvious realm.This beautifully carved basin will serve to accent your garden or landscape design and bring a sense of calm to its surroundings.
