Tenmoku Ceramic Teacup Set

This very unique piece comes to us from Japan and features a modern design with traditional patina. The cup itself has a rounded bottom that is unable to support itself without the use of the special supporting saucer. This is done in order to get the user to slow down and contemplate the design of the piece. The rim of the cup and rear of the spoon have been left unglazed in order to create a multitude of textures that enhance the experience. Using this set is anything but ordinary and will evoke many feelings and comments.

The cup is 2 3/4" H x 3 1/2" in diameter. The saucer is approximately 5 3/4" in diameter and the matching ceramic spoon is 5" long. This is a hand made piece and therefore very limited in quantity. Please contact us with any questions before ordering.
