Our Wabi lantern is designed with the principles of Wabi-sabi in mind whereas there is beauty in things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. The concept of beauty in things modest and humble dates back to the roots of Zen Buddhism. The unconventional beauty of this Wabi lantern and weathered, smooth appearance lends itself to these concepts. Our Wabi stone lantern is approximately 15" x 15" in diameter and constructed to be non-symmetrical in order to blend in with the natural environment. This lantern weighs approxiately 120 lbs and comes pre-drilled for your own light fixture.
